To 1 km from our paradisiacal retreat, you will find the quiet and smiling Lajares, known as the surf city in Fuerteventura.

The name comes from the first community that occupied this little city protected from the North Shore rocky coast and from the fascinating desert.

This little fisherman community has now become the surfer’s base camp from all around Europe who every year come to enjoy the great waves and the powerful and constant quality wind.

For this reason, Lajares, with 2000 residents, is one of the most renowned destinations in Europe for surf, kitesurf, windsurf and SUP lloverá thanks to its incredible weather conditions and constant throughout the year.

This little town is also the cultural center of the north of the island: concerts, craft markets, local product samples, shows or the typical improvised “parrandas”.

Calderon Hondo. It is one of the best preserved volcanoes with a conical structure, with an impressive crater 70 meters deep.

Located a few meters from the villa you will find the beginning of the path which will take you to discover one of the oldest volcanoes on the island: The Calderon Hondo. It is one of the best-preserved conical structure volcanoes, with an impressive 70 meters deep crater. From the top, you will enjoy the amazing north of the island view (El Cotillo, Majanicho, Lanzarote). The ascent is not dangerous nor excessively demanding and during it, you will be able to see many animals, such as funny and friendly squirrels that eat from your hand.
