Booking terms and conditions

Last updated: October 2026

1. Who we are

These terms govern direct bookings made through maar.house and its booking engine at MAAR House Lajares (C/ Majanicho 31, 35650 Lajares) and MAAR Suites Cotillo (C/ Gran Canaria, 35650 El Cotillo), holiday homes in Fuerteventura, Spain.

The accommodation is operated by Everlasting Summer Homes SL, tax ID B76259167, registered at C/ Beatriz s/n, B2, 35650 Lajares (Las Palmas), Spain, and entered in the Mercantile Registry of Puerto del Rosario, volume 177, folio 126, sheet IF-7823. You can contact us on +34 614 24 60 44 or at hola@everlastingsummer.es.

Bookings made through online booking platforms or agencies are governed by the terms accepted on the relevant platform; the house rules (section 8) apply to all guests.

2. How to book

  1. Choose the accommodation, dates, number of guests and rate.
  2. Enter your details and card details, and review the booking summary, the total price and these terms.
  3. Tick the box accepting the booking terms and click “Confirm booking”.

Before confirming you can go back and correct any details. The contract is concluded when you receive the confirmation email with your booking number. You can book in Spanish or English. We keep an electronic record of each booking, which you can ask to see.

You must be over 18 to book. The person making the booking is responsible for all guests included in it complying with these terms.

3. Prices

Prices are shown in euros and include IGIC (Canary Islands indirect tax) and any other applicable taxes. No charges you have not selected are added. Later price changes do not affect confirmed bookings. Discount codes apply to the chosen rate and cannot be exchanged for cash.

4. Payment

  • MAAR House Lajares: nothing is charged when you confirm the booking. Your card is held as a guarantee and the stay is paid on arrival, in cash or by card.
  • MAAR Suites Cotillo: 30% of the total is charged to your card when you confirm the booking, through a secure payment gateway. The remaining 70% is paid on arrival, in cash or by card.

The card held as a guarantee will only be charged in the cases set out in section 5 (late cancellation, no-show, early departure or non-refundable rates). By confirming the booking you declare that you are the cardholder or are authorised to use the card. If the bank does not authorise the card, we may cancel the booking after notifying you.

5. Cancellations, changes and no-shows

MAAR Suites Cotillo, refundable rate: free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival; in that case, the amount charged will be refunded according to the rate applied. If you cancel less than 14 days before arrival or do not show up, 100% of the total booking amount is charged.

MAAR House Lajares, refundable rate: free cancellation up to 15 days before arrival for rooms and studios, and up to 45 days before arrival for whole-villa bookings. If you cancel after those deadlines or do not show up, 100% of the total booking amount is charged.

Non-refundable rates (for example, “Last minute”): they cannot be changed or cancelled and 100% of the booking amount is charged.

If you leave early, 100% of the booked stay is charged. No changes are accepted from the day of arrival. Before that date, changes of dates or accommodation depend on availability and may involve a price difference.

You can cancel using the “Cancel my booking” link in your confirmation email or by writing to hola@everlastingsummer.es. The date we receive your cancellation is the one that counts.

Right of withdrawal: as this is an accommodation service for specific dates, there is no right of withdrawal (article 103(l) of the Spanish consolidated Consumer Protection Act, implementing article 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU). The cancellation terms above apply instead.

If, for reasons beyond your control, we cannot provide the accommodation booked, we will let you know as soon as possible and refund everything you have paid or, if you prefer, offer you alternative accommodation of the same or a higher standard.

6. Arrival, departure and guest registration

  • Check-in: MAAR House Lajares from 2 pm; MAAR Suites Cotillo from 3 pm. Please let us know your approximate arrival time.
  • Check-out: by 11 am.

Spanish law (Royal Decree 933/2021) requires us to register all guests aged 14 and over and report their details to the Ministry of the Interior. Before arrival we will send you a link to complete online check-in. We cannot hand over the accommodation without this registration. We do not photocopy your ID document.

Minors must stay with their parents or a responsible adult.

7. Occupancy

The accommodation may only be occupied by the people named in the booking. Adding guests must be agreed in advance and may involve an extra charge.

8. House rules

  • No parties or events.
  • Quiet hours from 11 pm to 8 am.
  • Smoking is only allowed in outdoor areas.
  • Pets are not allowed.
  • Free fibre-optic Wi-Fi and free public parking next to the accommodation.

Guests are liable for any damage they cause to the accommodation, its furniture or equipment through misuse. Serious breaches of these rules may lead to the stay being ended without refund.

9. Liability

We do our best to keep the accommodation and its services available and in good condition. We are not liable for problems caused by force majeure or for the loss of personal belongings not entrusted to our care. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law grants to consumers.

10. Communications

Communications about your booking will be made by email or by the contact details you provide, and have the same validity as written communications.

11. Data protection

We process your data to manage your booking and stay and to comply with guest registration rules, as explained in our Privacy policy.

12. Complaints

If you have any complaint, write to us at hola@everlastingsummer.es and we will reply as soon as possible. Official complaint forms are available on request. You can also contact the consumer services of the Canary Islands Government or of your local council.

13. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings before the courts that have jurisdiction under the law, including those of your place of residence.
